IS THIS WORKSHOP GOOD FOR ME?”

Yes, if you are just starting working with oils, or had experience in other mediums, drawing and/or painting.

Also it is a good refresher course, if you already tried oils in the past.

WHAT WILL YOU LEARN

During this workshop you will learn whole process and pass it twice in practice from start to finish of an oil painting. You will learn how to convert difficulties of oil painting process into it’s benefits. Zufar will open his secrets of work with oil paints, going from drawing to underpainting, block-in stage and further elaboration of details.

Right from beginning students will be given perspective to use these important foundational skills in a system that Zufar uses at his plein air and studio work.

WHAT WILL WE WORK ON

Each of you will complete two 11"x 14" painting projects while learning in practice basics and specifics, order and unique character of painting with oils. Starting with simpler setup for the first project, still life, you will immediately be working with multi-layer approach in stages. Second day you will apply your skills to work on a local landscape scenery.

Along the way you will create few references that will help to find your strong and weak sides.

You will learn how to continue study and improve your painting skills when this workshop is over and you are on your own.
